From croissants, to tarts, to pies, Salt Lake City has some pretty great bakeries! And it seems like the pandemic helped spark some new bakers to open up shop in town, so this list will need to updated soon!

If sourdough bread and whole grain pastries are your goal, then Table X Bread is the spot in Salt Lake! They have amazing croissants, sourdough breads of all kinds, and other daily pastries. Open Wed-Saturday. Table X Restaurant is my favorite restaurant in SLC.
2. Pie Fight
Location: 937 E. 900 S. Salt Lake City UT 84105
If pies are your go to pastry, then Pie Fight in SLC is where you want to go! Their seasonal strawberry rhubarb pie is my all-time favorite!
3. Chubby Baker

A pandemic donut invention that turned into a brick and mortar shop! Super instagrammable bakery complete with a flower wall inside, and iconic pink and blue donut boxes. The passionfruit cream cheese donut is amazing, and there are lots of seasonal flavors. The specialty drinks are also delicious!
4. Tulie
Location 1: 863 East 700 S. Salt Lake City UT 84102
Location 2: 1510 S. 1500 E. Salt Lake City UT 84015
Best overall bakery in Salt Lake City! After trying numerous SLC bakeries, I think Tulie wins for best plain croissant. Tulie also has a good flourless chocolate cake, fresh fruit tarts, daily filled croissants, and an assortment of cakes, cookies, and breads. Be sure to get there early before they sell out for the day!
5. Beaumont Bakery in Millcreek
Location: 3979 Wasatch Blvd Millcreek UT 84124
This spot is conveniently off highway on the way to SLC from Park City or Cottonwood Canyon (also has a drive-thru) and is a super cute breakfast/lunch spot with a great display of pastries. Highly recommend the everything bagel seasoning croissant filled with cream cheese and the nutella filled croissant!

A new permanent brick and mortar storefront is coming in 2023, which is super exciting for this newer SLC bakery! They have seasonal/monthly rotations of filled croissants, danishes, cookies, croissant danishes, cakes and bagels. Their instagram is frequently updated with current offerings, so I highly recommend following along! A bonus here are the bagel sandwiches.
7. Doki Doki
