- Anthem East Trailhead in Henderson is my favorite place to go for a mountain bike ride. It would be an equally great place to trail run, hike, or walk your dog at, too! The system seems to be ever growing, with fun trail names like Pandemic and Vaccine, and there are a variety of trail offshoots that fit every every fitness and skill level. The main parking lot is next to a park, so there are lots of parking spots, and it easy to get in and out of. I love the variety of trails here because I can pick a trail to work on technical skills, and then go and pick another trail to use for a climbing or interval workout. And because of the size of the trail system, I have not gotten tired of these trails yet! I can't wait to spend winters riding out here, and am looking to live as close to this trail network as possible! The other great part about this trail system is that it connects to both the McCollough trails and to Sloan Canyon Reservation area trails, so if you want a long day out on trails, you can spend all day in this network!
2. A close second place to ride is Blue Diamond, over near Blue Diamond and Enterprise NV, southwest of Vegas. This is another quick drive from downtown Vegas, and the trails out here are also amazing, with great views, and cool red rock. You can even check out Red Rock, and spend a day hiking, biking, etc. there! A not to miss trail in the Blue Diamond are is 3 mile smile, and it really will have you smiling on a great singletrack flowy trail.
3. The Red Rock wash area is super pretty and another great place to explore. The trails are great in the winter/spring, and a perfect desert escape when it is too cold and snowy to ride in other areas. There is still so much exploring to do in this area, and I am excited to get out more! As always, any favorite trail recommendations you have, please let me know! I would love to check them out!
